Coralia Environmental collaborates with GENNEIA in the development of the project document for a group of solar parks in the Cuyo region, aimed at generating photovoltaic energy for the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). This initiative contributes to the country’s energy transition and to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), which promotes access to reliable and sustainable energy.

The first phase of the project, developed in the province of San Juan, was validated according to the international BioCarbon standard and successfully passed its first verification, achieving a reduction of 123,470 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e). For the 2023–2030 period, this initial stage is projected to contribute a cumulative reduction of over 900,000 tCO₂e, establishing itself as a key initiative in regional climate change mitigation.

The clustered development approach allows for the progressive incorporation of new solar parks in provinces such as San Juan and Mendoza, increasing the installed capacity of renewable energy and strengthening the local energy matrix. This strategy promotes regional sustainable growth and fosters the decarbonization of the national economy.

In a context where the International Energy Agency (IEA) emphasizes the need to triple renewable generation to meet international commitments, the project gains strategic relevance. Additionally, linking with climate finance mechanisms, such as the voluntary carbon market, is crucial for economic viability in countries with structural challenges for clean energy, such as Argentina.
