PPC’s main activity consists of the production of natural gas and natural gas liquids in Peru, reliably supplying energy to industrial, commercial, and residential sectors throughout the country. The facilities included within the report boundaries comprise the productive wells of the Camisea Consortium, gas transmission lines, the natural gas processing plant in Malvinas (located in the district of Megantoni, La Convención Province, Cusco Region) as well as the NGL fractionation plant and the Pisco Camisea Marine Terminal, both located in the district of Paracas, Pisco Province, Ica Region. These integrated operations cover the extraction process from upstream wells, the processing of natural gas and natural gas liquids, and the distribution of NGLs to various delivery points efficiently and safely.

Emissions corresponding to categories 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 under the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard were surveyed for this work, ensuring a comprehensive and transparent assessment across all operational stages. In addition, a thorough review of the emission calculators previously used by Pluspetrol was conducted, and new calculators specific to fugitive emissions were developed, applying a proprietary methodology that integrates Coralia’s technical expertise with internationally recognized best practices and methodologies in the global energy sector.

 

This innovative approach enhanced the accuracy and traceability of the results obtained, providing reliable data for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
