Overview

Coralia Environmental, in partnership with Ruuts, is advancing a carbon project in Paraguay that combines Agricultural Land Management (ALM) and Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) practices. This initiative proposes a comprehensive intervention model aimed at generating environmental and productive benefits through sustainable land management.

The project focuses on implementing innovative silvopastoral systems with regenerative livestock under forest cover, reducing the intensity of land clearing in historically deforested areas and promoting sustainable land management practices. This holistic approach promotes responsible land use, where productive activities coexist with forest and soil conservation and restoration, supporting biodiversity, ecosystem services, and climate resilience.

The initiative is currently in the implementation phase, with trained field teams actively monitoring and guiding the work. Initial actions are aimed at restructuring grazing areas and reducing the environmental impact of livestock on previously degraded zones, ensuring measurable long-term environmental improvements. The entire process is conducted under Verra’s internationally recognized standards, ensuring rigorous quantification, verification, and certification of environmental and climate outcomes.

This project clearly demonstrates how the adoption of regenerative practices can mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen the resilience of productive systems, and generate significant positive impacts on local ecosystems and surrounding communities. At the same time, it contributes to the sustainable development of rural communities, fostering a balance between production, conservation, and effective climate action, while promoting social and inclusive economic benefits.
